EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO SPEAK BEFORE THE TOWN BOARD ON ANY SUBJECT;
HOWEVER, PERSONAL ATTACKS, OF ANY KIND, TOWARD ANYONE, WILL NOT BE PERMITTED
The Greenburgh Town Board appreciates comments from residents at its open meetings.  Recently, comments have been made that, whether intended or not, were hurtful to other members of the public because the comments perpetuated racial or religious tropes and stereotypes.  We believe it is appropriate to remind everyone that bigotry and hate have no place in Greenburgh.  As we move forward, we will work together to educate each other around this issue.  Our goal is to maintain a robust and constructive dialogue.  We are confident that this Town can continue to have these dialogues.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

MOMENT OF SILENCE

In memory of Jim Harris, first Assistant Director at the Fairview Greenburgh Community Center (currently the Theodore D. Young Community Center. Prior to this employment with the Town, he was the 7th round pick in the 1965 Draft, as defensive tackle for the New York Jets from until 1967.

In memory of Laurence J. Doyle, 87, who passed on February 2, 2026, just days after his sister Patricia.  A Fordham University (1961) graduate, Larry worked for IBM/World Trade for over 30 years and served as a member of the Greenburgh Zoning Board of Appeals for more than 25 years.  In both these roles he was guided by fairness, thoughtfulness and a desire to help others and do what is right.  He leaves his soulmate, constant companion, idol and wife for 62 years Cynthia, to whom he was a loving and devoted husband.  Those who knew him, including Town staff and fellow ZBA members, remember him for his kindness, calm strength, and his unwavering love of the Red Sox and Ted Williams, as exemplified by his license plate, BOSOX 9, and the Red Sox flag he frequently flew in front of his home in Poet's Corner, Hartsdale.  He will be deeply missed by all.

In memory of those around the world who have perished as victims of war, disease and natural disaster. Our hearts are with all who needlessly suffer.

GOOD NEWS...From 2010-2025 the Town earned the highest possible rating from Moody's (Aaa), most recently on 9/9/2025.  Less than 1% of communities in the nation have this record of financial stability.   From 2008-2024 the Town also earned the highest possible bond rating from Standard & Poors (AAA).  To reduce costs, the Town did not seek a rating from Standard & Poors in 2025.
