MINUTES
TOWN OF GREENBURGH, BOARD OF ETHICS
THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 2022, 6:30 P.M.
ZOOM VIDEOCONFERENCE
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Blase J. Spinozzi, Chairperson; Trudy Holand, Secretary; Tim Hays, Member; Claire Pizzuti, Esq., Member; Jacqueline Baranov, Alternate Member
Also Present: Joseph Malara, Esq.; Volunteer Counsel; First Deputy Town Attorney David Fried, Esq.
- The meeting convened at 6:35 p.m. A quorum was present.
- AGENDA: The agenda for the meeting was unanimously approved.
- MINUTES: The minutes of the February 24, 2022 meeting were unanimously approved.
- CORRESPONDENCE: Mr. Fried reported the BoE was in receipt of six (6) emails. All correspondence was shared with the members of the BoE prior to the meeting. There was no comment by any of the members.
- ADVISORY OPINION 2022-2: Judith Beville, Town Clerk, Town of Greenburgh, on or about January 5, 2022 sent a request to the Board of Ethics for an advisory opinion. The BoE deliberated on Ms. Beville’s request prior to this meeting, and attached its proposed opinion on the agenda for the meeting of March 24, 2022. Ms. Beville subsequently requested permission to address the BoE in person to supplement her request.
The Chair welcomed Ms. Beville to the meeting and advised her that the BoE will listen to any further comments she had in support of her request.
Ms. Beville addressed the BoE, after which the Chair thanked her for her comments.The Chair informed her that the members of the board will meet again and deliberate further upon her request.
