2.				APPROVAL OF MINUTES January 9, 2025 – minutes approved

3.				CORRESPONDENCE None

4.				WETLAND/WATERCOURSE PERMIT REFERRALS None

5.				ON-GOING ITEMS – review of status and ongoing considerations Environmental Recommendations for New Construction – no new discussion. Community Education/Newsletter – considered upcoming topics including spring clean-up and pesticides AVL – no new discussion Plastic “recycling”- Given the power of the recent “plastic fields” community forum organized by L. Silverstein and the prospect of new fields at the Elmwood property, the CAC should move forward with devising a proposed ban on development of synthetic turf fields. One important focus (for purposes of persuasion) will be the lifetime costs of plastic vs natural grass fields. Comingled Recycling – N. Drain will contact DPW about reinstating use of “oops!” labels. Food scrap recycling – discussed need to brainstorm a plan Information Sharing – G. Gundlach reported that the Four Corners Steering Committee (FCSC) is seeking approval to hire an outside firm to make development recommendations. T. Tori mentioned that creation of a detention pond in the general vicinity of South Healy Street should be considered. A. Gilmore reported on a program she attended at the Greenwich Audubon Center that introduced the concept of an expanded group of R's: Refuse, Reuse, Reduce, Repair, Recycle, Rot (compost). 6.				NEW BUSINESS M. Britton advised about two new permit applications which may be presented soon.
