The meeting convened at 5:01 p.m. A quorum was present.
The Chair welcomed the members of the Board.
The agenda was unanimously accepted.
The minutes of the March 25, 2021 meeting were unanimously adopted.
Update on filling vacant seat on the board. As of this date, the Town Board has not filled the vacant seat on the Board of Ethics.
Ethics Training update by Mr. Fried. Mr. Fried reported to the Board of Ethics, the following have participated in Ethics Training to date: Board & Agency Members 36 percent, Appointed Officers and Elected Officials 68 percent. Reminders to take the ethics training course have gone out by mail and email.
Financial Disclosure update by Mr. Hays. At present, the compliance is as follows: Board and Agency members 45 percent, Appointed Officers and Elected Officials at 68 percent.
Mr. Fried then reported that, despite the pandemic, and people working from home, all the forms have gone out.
Update re amending COE Section 570-8(a). The Chair informed the Board once again that the matter was discussed by the Town Board and will be set for public hearing. No date for the hearing has been set as of this time.
Correspondence. Going forward, for purposes of maintaining a formal recording of correspondence addressed to the Board of Ethics, the chair announced that all future correspondence addressed to the BOE should be sent to the following email address:
The board was in receipt of two emails from Mr. Samis.The emails were forwarded to the members of the board prior to the meeting.There was no comment by the board.
